Regional Italian cuisine is incredibly diverse in it’s make up. Utilizing ingredients indigenous to it’s specific geographic area, each region boasts it’s own style of cooking and the passion for the wonderful dishes it creates. Whether it be wood roasted caponata from Sicily, beautiful rustic breads from Tuscany, super thin crust pizza from Napoli, or fresh tagliatelle from Bologna, the adventure of exploring Italy’s culinary diversity is truly endless.
At Tuscan Kitchen and Tuscan Market, our chefs prepare everything in house. All of our pastas are made fresh, our bread is crafted daily in our artisan bakery and our desserts are created by our masterful pastry chefs.
Here, our guests dine “in our kitchen” while each dish is prepared for all to see. Our wood ovens burn from morning until night; roasting vegetables, baking bread and firing delightful thin crust pizzas. Our prime steaks are seared on our wood grill and our rotisserie roasts marinated whole chickens and lamb while a pasta maker cuts fresh made fettucini.
The Tuscan Brands Story
With over 25 years of Artisan Italian food experience, Tuscan Brands Founder Joe Faro grew up appreciating the true craftsmanship needed to create great Italian food. Son of Sicilian Immigrants, it was this passion for authentic Italian specialties that gave life to Joe’s first food enterprise.
Joseph’s Gourmet Pasta and Sauces began as a small hand crafted pasta Company in the attic of the Faro family Bakery in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Through Joe’s leadership and 20 years of consistent growth and innovation, the company became the national leader in specialty pasta and sauces.
Joe’s passion for creating scratch Italian delicacies continued when the first Tuscan Kitchen opened in Salem NH 2010. The restaurant showcases all of the handmade Italian specialties that Joe had learned on his lifelong journey through Italy’s diverse regional cuisine.
In 2012, Joe celebrated the opening of the second part of his vision; Tuscan Market. Designed to emulate an open air Artisan Italian Market, the guest can experience everything being crafted from scratch. The sights and smells from baking bread, pasta making and the creation of fine Italian pastries and gelato delight the senses and enhance your shopping experience, while our market floor boasts hundreds of Italian wines, prepared foods and imported specialties from all over Italy.
In the fall of 2014, we observed the launch of Joe’s latest Artisan Italian enterprise, Tuscan Kitchen in Burlington Massachusetts. The newest Tuscan Kitchen features both a market and kitchen while it’s incredible attention to Italian architecture transports you to Tuscany.
